Femen slaags met homohaters

   Bij een demonstratie van tegenstanders van het homohuwelijk heeft de Franse tak van de vrouwenbeweging FEMEN voor de nodige opschudding gezorgd. De vrouwen zijn het meer dan zat dat homofobe katholieken het morele gelijk opeisen waar het seksuele relaties betreft en andersdenkenden en voelenden de wet menen te moeten voorschrijven. Gewapend met spermaspuitbussen deden de vrouwen een moedige poging om de verderfelijke homohaat te verdelgen.

   De verschijning van de topless nonnen met hun spuitbussen werkte bij de katholieken als een rode lap op een stier. Enkele mannen raakten zo door het dolle heen dat ze op de vrouwen afvlogen en rake klappen uitdeelden. Aanvankelijk boden ze heldhaftig verzet, maar niet opgewassen tegen zo veel agressie sloegen de vrouwen ijlings op de vlucht.

   Een straat verderop konden de vrouwen op adem komen en de schade opnemen – bloedende lippen en een enkele uitgeslagen tand. Verontwaardigd maar ook trots toonden de sextremisten hun oorlogswonden aan de toegesnelde fotografen. ‘In Gay We Trust!’ – het statement was gemaakt. En hoe!
